Purpose: 

The aim of this training is to enable the participants to support and care for themselves and others while working in confined space within wind industry and to perform rescue and evacuation in this environment.

Training in working in confined spaces at a medium risk level is intended for individuals who regularly work in environments where moderate hazards are present, requiring the use of special safety procedures. 

Training outcome:

Upon completion of the course, delegates will have achieved skills and basic knowledge of:

  • Legislation related to work in confined space.
  • Identification of risks and hazards related to working in confined space within the wind industry.
  • Gas detectors used for atmosphere measurement.
  • PPE and collective protection.
  • Rescue equipment and safety precautions during work in a confined space.
  • Rescue strategy from confined and restricted space.
  • Correct use of escape apparatuses in emergency situations.

Admission requirements:

  • Valid health certificate.
  • Requirement to complete one of the following courses: Confined Space Low Risk, GWO Working at Height (WAH), or IRATA.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old

Validity:

No expiry. Recommended refresher after 2 years.

1 day - 8 hours
