Course Overview
All IRATA training lasts 4 days, followed by a 1-day assessment conducted by an independent assessor. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned professional, there's a course tailored to your level: Level 1, Level 2, Level 3.
IRATA Level 1 – Entry Level
For newcomers to rope access or those certifying existing skills.
What You’ll Learn:
Master basic rope access techniques, rigging, and simple rescues.
After Certification:
Work under the supervision of a Level 3 technician.
Requirements:
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Physically fit for height work.
• No prior experience needed.
Certification Includes:
An IRATA L1 certificate, ID card, and logbook.
IRATA Level 2 – Advanced Skills
For experienced Level 1 technicians looking to expand their qualifications.
What You’ll Learn:
Rigging, complex rescues, and advanced rope access techniques.
Requirements:
• At least 12 months as a Level 1 technician.
• Documented 1,000 hours of rope access experience.
• Valid Level 1 certification and logbook.
IRATA Level 3 – Leadership & Supervision
For technicians ready to supervise and manage rope access teams.
What You’ll Learn:
Advanced rigging, rescue techniques, and in-depth knowledge of regulations.
Requirements:
• At least 12 months as a Level 2 technician.
• Documented 1,000 hours of experience.
• Valid Level 2 certification and complete logbook.
